I had the privilege of taking the stage at the just-concluded Hako Product Launch hosted by Klinserv Solutions, where we unveiled the future of industrial and commercial cleaning in Nigeria. It was an incredible opportunity to showcase not only the robust applications of Hako equipment across diverse sectors but also to share some valuable insights backed by real data from our February 2025 field survey.
Earlier this year, our team conducted a survey within a federal ministry house based in Abuja. The results were eye-opening. With the conventional cleaning model, the ministry employed 14 cleaners for their daily maintenance operations. Upon introducing a single Hako Sweeper Machine, the staffing requirement dropped to 8 cleaners(including a supervisor), while still achieving superior cleanliness standards.
The financial implication? In the first year alone, incorporating Hako equipment resulted in an 11.3% reduction in their cleaning budget, even after factoring in the procurement cost of the equipment. By the second year, the cumulative savings had grown to 19.7% of their two-year cleaning budget.
This validates a key message I shared on stage: Hako products do more than clean; they optimize operational budgets.
From aviation and healthcare to construction, hospitality, oil & gas, and municipal maintenance, Hako machines are designed for scalable use across demanding environments. Whether it’s the Citymaster 2250 sweeping airport runways, the Scrubmaster B120 R tackling factory floors, or the RoboScrub maintaining terminals autonomously, our solutions are already in use globally, including at award-winning airports like Hamad International Airport in Doha.
At the launch, I highlighted these applications in my presentation, showing how each piece of Hako equipment fits perfectly into a specific industrial context, which you can explore in the attached presentation slides.
Several participants at the event raised important questions about durability, and I was glad to clarify:
“Every Hako machine is German-engineered and industrial-grade, built to operate reliably for up to 20 years. These machines are meant to work for hours at a stretch without performance decline.”
Beyond their resilience, our commitment doesn’t stop at sales. As the authorized distributor for Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, Klinserv Solutions offers premium after-sales service, ensuring all Hako products remain in top shape throughout their life cycle. This not only protects our clients’ investments but also ensures continuous high performance. In fact, the cost savings achieved over the equipment’s lifetime often translate into direct profit, especially for organizations that leverage our rental model to recoup their capital while generating revenue.
The reception to our solutions, from high-level government officials to facility managers and private sector stakeholders, reinforced one truth: The future of cleaning is sustainable, intelligent, and cost-effective. Hako machines, with their wide applicability, low environmental impact, and proven ROI, are poised to lead that future in Nigeria.
As we continue to roll out these machines across the country, we’re not just selling equipment; we’re reshaping how cleaning is done, helping organizations save money while raising standards.
